Alexa, launch Mi Héroe a la Batalla

Entertainment, a big opportunity for voice assistants

Voice interfaces like Alexa are the perfect channel for new entertainment experiences. This time we chose to build a role-playing game, RPG style, together with an interactive story led by a friendly, funny character who guides you through the adventure.

Today we’re introducing Mi Héroe a la Batalla (“my hero into battle”), an Amazon Alexa skill adapted for devices with a screen. You can enable it in the Amazon store or say to your device:

Want to be the greatest hero ever? A goblin will help you

Mi Héroe a la Batalla is a simple, fast and fun role-playing game. A goblin guides you through the first 100 levels of your climb up the Tower of Heroes, where you’ll grow into a better hero by defeating different monsters and taking on all kinds of challenges. Can you make it to the top of the tower?

How does it work?

Level up by defeating enemies.
Defeat enemies with a combat system similar to rock, paper, scissors.
Reach the highest hero level you can.
Earn your spot on the global leaderboard.
Enjoy a story split into ten episodes.
A goblin keeps you company and makes the adventure more fun.
Automatic saving: you can pick up where you left off if your hero isn’t defeated.
If at any point you don’t know what to do, ask the goblin for “ayuda” (“help”).
To leave the game, you can say “salir del juego”, “deja de jugar” or “parar”.

NOTE: No monsters or heroes were harmed in the making of this skill. This Alexa skill contains no violence and doesn’t aim to encourage it, but it does contain sounds that some people may find upsetting.

How do I start using it?

The skill has been live in the Amazon store in Spain since April 16, 2019, and works with Alexa in Spanish.

To use Mi Héroe a la Batalla you need a device that works with Alexa in Spanish, such as:

Without a screen: Echo Dot, Echo, Echo Plus.
With a screen: Echo Spot, Echo Show, Fire TV.
A smartphone with the Amazon Alexa app installed (download it for Android or for iOS).

After enabling the skill on its page, just say “Alexa, lanza mi héroe a la batalla”.
