Today we’re introducing Edad de los Famosos (“celebrity ages”), a multimodal Amazon Alexa skill adapted for devices with a screen.
In this game you’ll test how well you know the ages of well-known figures in Spain. Famous actors, athletes, politicians and singers are waiting for you in this fun guessing game.
You can enable it in the Amazon store or say to your device:
Alexa, abre edad de los famosos
This Alexa skill challenges you to guess the age of a series of celebrities. And thanks to the visual design for screens built with APL (Alexa Presentation Language)1, you get visual support to see which ages you’ve already said, and you can even play with an advantage and see the celebrity’s photo!
How does it work?
When Alexa asks for an age, just answer with how old you think they are. You get up to 5 tries, and Alexa gives you easier and easier clues.
If you don’t know the celebrity, just say something like “no sé quién es” (“I don’t know who that is”) or “siguiente” (“next”).
If you missed something, ask Alexa to repeat it with “repite”.
To quit, say “salir” or “parar”.
How do I start using it?
The skill has been live in the Amazon store in Spainsince February 18, 2019, and works with Alexa in Spanish.
To use Edad de los Famosos you need a device that works with Alexa in Spanish, such as:
Without a screen: Echo Dot, Echo, Echo Plus.
With a screen: Echo Spot, Echo Show.
A smartphone with the Amazon Alexa app installed (download it for Android or for iOS).
After enabling the skill on its page, just say “Alexa, abre edad de los famosos”.
